The GCTE 2025 Board Election will run from Jan 24 - Feb 24 for the positions listed below. Both positions have two-year renewable terms (Feb 2025-Feb 2027). Current GCTE members in good standing are eligible to vote through an emailed link.

The director of technology coordinates all aspects of technology related to the organization. Working in coordination with board members, the technology director is responsible for:
- managing all facets of the GCTE website
- managing the membership database
- assisting the GCTE social media coordinator
- assisting with the quarterly publication of the GCTE newsletter, Scribbles 'N Bits
- assisting with tech-based aspects of the annual conference
- resolving any member issues related to technology, and
- exploring tech-oriented opportunities with potential benefit for members.
Directors are required to attend all GCTE board meetings (3-4 per year) and participate in deliberations related to the organization as a whole.

The director of teacher awards and programs coordinates the organization's annual teacher awards and oversees special teacher foci. Working in coordination with board members, the awards director is responsible for:
- publicizing GCTE awards and grants
- soliciting applications from GCTE membership for teacher awards
- serving on any appointed awards committees
- organizing reviews of applicant materials
- presenting relevant awards at the annual conference
- publicizing external award, grant, and scholarship opportunities for students and teachers, and
- exploring potential partnerships and programs that might extend GCTE support for members
Directors are required to attend all GCTE board meetings (3-4 per year) and participate in deliberations related to the organization as a whole.
