Would you like to have an author speak with your class about being a writer and/or give a reading?

Thanks to the Literary Event Grants of Georgia (funded by Georgia Council for the Arts and managed by the Georgia Writers Association), an author can virtually visit your class

  1. Find an author for your event on the Georgia Writers Registry (if an author you would like to invite isn't listed, please check this list).
  2. Eligible writers include poets, playwrights, and writers of fiction, nonfiction, and creative nonfiction.
  3. To formally, invite an author, submit an event proposal

Venues located in some Georgia counties—Fulton, Cobb, and DeKalb—are excluded from LEGG funding since they receive funding from other organizations: check the eligibility requirements to be sure. Please feel free to e-mail us at terri@georgiawriters.org with any questions you may have or if you need assistance filling out an event proposal.
